Will Jay II used Spruce as a top, and Mahogany as a back and side wood.
Spruce - Spruce is straight grained, yellowish white in color, light weight and strong in structure. Although Spruce takes time to open up, it relinquishes crispy clear sounds over a wide tonal spectrum. It is excellent for both strumming and finger-style playing.
Mahogany - Quarter-sawn straight grain mahogany is light weight and hard, subsequently it delivers a fast tonal transfer, a bright and organic tone and the bass is on the warmer side.
At aNueNue when we use laminated Spruce, we place the straight grain spruce veneers at each side and for the center we use Poplar wood to ensure that the whole construction is light weight, stable and climate adaptable.
Our philosophy is, “Less is More.” We focus on: Design, Simplicity and Elegance.
The WJ2 has a classic-headstock design made with a spruce veneer in laser-etched logo. The tuners with 1:14 gear ratio for precise tuning.
Rosewood is a hard wood with open wood pores. It is a stable wood to work with and easily adapts to climate changes. The 19-frets design allows for endless tonal possibilities. The fretboard position inlays are MADE WITH SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS!
Bridge / Saddle
The smiley-shaped rosewood bridge helps support the string tension. The Synthetic Bone for the nut which is very hard and articulate. This helps the strings to vibrate and to have a deep resonance.
