It is also a wood that sounds progressively distinguished as it ages and delivers a deeper resonating tone. The look and sound of Koa make people adore this exquisite wood.
At aNueNue when we use Acacia Taiwan for our ukulele (Top/Back/Sides), we place the exotic looking koa veneers at each side and for the center we use Poplar wood to ensure that the whole construction is light weight, stable and climate adaptable.
The Maple binding serve to protect the edges of the wood from impact.
The Koa Series has an aNueNue Rainbow classical headstock design made with a koa veneer in laser-etched logo. The tuners with 1:14 gear ratio for precise tuning.
Rosewood is a hard tone wood that with open pores. It's a stable wood to be a fretboard, and also adaptable to climate changes. The fret positions is designed with LumiNova material Shining Stars-shaped. The 19-frets design allows for endless tonal possibilities.
Bridge / Saddle
The square oval-shaped rosewood bridge helps support the string tension. The Synthetic Bone for the nut which is very hard and articulate. This helps the strings to vibrate and to have a deep resonance.
