Sugita Kenji is well-known in the handmade guitar world. His guitars, in terms of tone, design, and workmanship, each have the highest standards of handmade acoustic guitar. aNueNue and Sugita spent three years of R&D, selected air-dry wood, and humidity control facility. Three stage of design, brace design balance, neck profile balance and profile, and headstock sound reflex. The new design with 640mm shorter scale, produce clear mid-high sound, and deep bass. “Acoustic Future” is born.
Wood
LS600 used Moon Spruce as a top, and Indian Rosewood as a back and side wood.
Moon Spruce - Originating from Switzerland, Moon spruce possesses a white snowy appearance and a straight, tight wood grain. It can accommodate different climates exceptionally, which makes it one of the more durable and stable tone woods. It takes time to open up but its sound will have rich overtones in tandem with complex tonal harmonics.
Indian Rosewood - One of the most popular and musically loved tonewood, Indian Rosewood has a straight grain, dark red, purple to brown appearance. Rosewood is an oily hard wood, and is remarkably stable to work with. It produces deep sweeping lows, and lush like treble. It works well for all music genres and is especially a favorite among finger-style players.
Top, back and sides are all solid wood. aNueNue uses wood that has been naturally air dried wood and are season for many years before even being put into production. All our solid woods are used for our high end pieces. All aNueNue’s solid wood pieces require time to open up and will develop an overall distinguished more complex harmonic tone quality.
Brace
Sugita Kenji design the Acoustic Future series, “Coherence Vibration” Air Oscillation. When string is plucked, the guitar top vibrates, it provided a coherence vibration against the body, neck, and headstock, and create a rich spectrum of sound. Light see through top is control within 2.5mm, the brace design stabilize the top, prevent twisting, and support the string tension. After three years of R&D, a full responsive sound is achieved, remove the hard frequency.
Details
The Spalted-Maple rosette was designed for the elegant look. The Rosewood binding serve to protect the edges of the wood from impact.
Headstock
Sugita design 3 Dimensional carved Bevel headstock. A Straight string pull through the nut aid tuning stability. A trapezoid shape vintage bone nut distribute string tension. Neck Volute a carved heel is added for strength and stability. The Japanese Gotoh 510 gear tuners with 1:21 gear ratio for precise tuning.
Fretboard
Ebony is a hard dense tone wood with silky smooth feeling. It's a stable wood to be a fretboard, adds brightness to the tone, and faster attack. Ergonomic neck profile is design and allow easier grip, and neck access. The frets are rounded and polish Fretboard has MOP moon phase inlays, and design with 44mm nut width. The 21-frets design allows for endless tonal possibilities.
Bridge / Saddle
The ebony bridge helps support the string tension. The oil buffalo bone is soaked in oil, it is fine sanded and polished to give that shiny oil look. The oil buffalo bone for the nut which is very hard and articulate. This helps the strings to vibrate and to have a deep resonance. The compensated saddle designed to provide the accurate intonation and produce the correctly pitched note.
